Bwest Infections

From Mama...
Breast Infections
In the last five months, I have had multiple breast
infections, with only one requiring antibiotics. Every once in a while, I get a plugged milk duct and then hours later, I start feeling horrible. I get all
achy and chilly and then a fever sets in that totally wipes me out. The
symptoms mimic those of the flu. Fortunately, I’ve been able to get rid of most of the plugged ducts without medicine.

With that being said, I’ve had enough breast infections that
Mady has started picking up on the idea. In her pretend play, she will lift her
shirt to nurse her dolly Jubilee and then exclaim, “I have to nurse Jubilee.
Now I have a bwest infection. I need to west.” Cute? Perhaps, or just plain
funny!

Giggly Girl

We love finding new ways to entertain Cami. Here is a fun video of Carrie making her giggle...

5 months old!

Cami turned 5 months old on February 17th. Somedays it feels like she is literally changing before our eyes. This month, she has started pushing up off of her elbows. She enjoys chewing on her toes now, which is a rare treat because her bulky cloth diapers usually prevent her toes from reaching to her mouth, but when she is between diapers, all bets are off. She has finally settled in to a regular nap schedule this month of three naps a day. We have also transitioned her into her crib at night, and she does a pretty good job making it through the night now. On most nights, she'll only wake once for a feeding. She is giving us lots of razzes now, which we all find very amusing. Her hair is growing back in blond. She still doesn't roll over, but she is just starting to sit on her own. Those are the fun developments we've seen this month.
Our exciting family news this month is that that my Dad was offered a job in Cleveland! My folks are moving in with my grandfather while they begin the house hunt. We are very excited to have them in town!
